CLOSURE ASSESSMENT
The purpose of closure assessment is to establish minimum guidance that meets the requirements of Chapter 62-761, F.A.C. The assessment is to determine if any contamination resulted from the operation of a storage tank system. Assessments involve lab sampling, written reports by Professional Geologists stating whether or not there is contamination and if it warrants site clean up. This information is forwarded to the Department of Environmental Protection.
